Art supplies are in abundance for creative people!
- we collect creative things that speak to us
- we purchase unique art supplies to effort something new
- we save creative items because we call back they may come in useful i twenty-four hours (ha-ha)
Before we know information technology, we have a lot of art supplies around us and no room to create. Today, I'll share with you how I store my pigment tubes & bottles.
Paint TUBES
Paint comes in heavy body, soft torso, open up, fluid, etc. Where to store all these tubes? I plant a solution that I love! I've been using this board beneath for nigh 5 years now!
1. DIY Painted Board with Nails
Below: I saw this idea on Pinterest (left) and decided to make my ain (right)
I prefer to utilise supplies I have on hand, otherwise I never go around to doing the project. Nosotros had a piece of chip plywood in the garage, so I lightly sanded the edges and use that. I laid out my tubes of paint to make sure there was enough room for all of them.
The woods slice got two coats of acrylic black paint and I used a stencil to add some involvement with fun white triangles.
Clips were added to all the tubes and so I marked where I wanted to place each nail and hammered them in. This paint storage lath sits on a tabletop easel to hold it upright. I go on information technology on my work table all the time and then all my acrylic tubes are within reach.
PAINT BOTTLES
The other type of paint holders that I take a lot of are bottles. Craft paint, fluid acrylics, high menstruum acrylics, and pigment jars with lids are just a few.
ii. Tiered Wire Basket
For this first one, I decided to go to one of my all-time favorite stores, HomeGoods. I walked through, looking for a fun container for paint bottles. I constitute it in the kitchen section for $xix.99, a three-tier wire basket stand.
The only thing that bothered me nigh it was that it didn't move and one time I filled it upwardly, information technology was heavy! I found a xiv″ turntable here for $15. Now the whole thing spins and it's super like shooting fish in a barrel to grab anything. I love it!
three. Tray
A dwelling house decor tray is some other particular I've used for organizing my paint bottles.
The handles make it super easy to move around and it will hold all of my fluid and high menstruation acrylic paint bottles.
four. Decorative Shelf
You lot are probably catching on by now that I love habitation decor products. They help to add way to my art studio and makes the place experience cozy and inviting. Decorative shelves are keen for this because they add some dissimilarity and interest to the walls.
This item shelf is fun considering it sits out nearly 3 inches from the wall. The shelves aren't very tall, so I put my small paint bottles on these shelves.
5. Small-scale Metal Shelf
The kitchen section of Target is where I found this shelf (years agone). Information technology's been in our pantry, medicine closet, and now in my art studio. I use it for my metal paint bottles, glitters, inks and other unique products that I don't use very oft.
6. Turn Table/Lazy Susan
Lastly, I want to share with you lot my plough table/lazy susan. I enjoyed the one I put under the wire tier baskets so much that I bought another one for my black and white pigment bottles that I use all the time. The plastic tray had a plain outer edge, so I added some washi tape to dress it upwards.
I hope you gained a few new ideas to store and organize your paint tubes & bottles. It doesn't have to be hard or expensive. Dwelling decor items can be repurposed from effectually your firm to add together a stylish affect for your fine art supplies.
I'g curious, which of these 6 ideas was your favorite? Allow me know if the comments below.
